Cubemen 2 features cross-platform play between Wii U, PC, and iOS
Cubemen 2 is coming to Wii U, and will mark the first indie game on the platform to feature cross-platform play with its PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS counterparts.
Cubemen 2, the 3D strategy game released on PC and iOS earlier this year, is coming to Wii U. It will also feature cross-platform multiplayer, allowing Wii U players to access user-generated content and play against those using the PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS versions.
Multiplayer allows up to six slots for solo or team battles against AI or other players. It also boasts roughly 4,000 user-generated stages so far, which Wii U users will gain access to from day one. This marks the first game on Wii U to feature cross-platform play.
"I'm really proud to be able to announce this," said Nic Watt, creative director at publisher Nnooo. "We've spent the last few months working with both Nintendo and 3 Sprockets, the game's developer, to make this a reality. Cubemen 2 is an amazing game and a great fit for Nintendo players. We can't wait to see how creative they are, whether in tactical multiplayer online or in the new levels they build."
