A snapshot of an idle monitor (via Gamespot) shows a thread by a Ted Carson. "Restored L4D3," it reads, preceded by mention of Source 2--Valve's next-gen engine.
Left 4 Dead 3 previously surfaced in a supposed Valve project tracker, which also mentioned Half-Life 3. Of course, with employees being able to freely work on whatever they want, these listings won't necessarily coalesce into a real product.

I CONCUR!!!! NO Half Life 3 yet we get another zombie game?? If this is true that Left 4 Dead will be the first Valve game to break the 3 barrier I'll be very sad indeed. Looks Team Fortress 3 will be out before Half Life 3 at this rate....

Someone on neogaf mentioned a cool idea that they could be bundled as such with L4D3 being the multiplayer aspect of the pack. That would be an insanely good.
Plus I bet the Source 2 assets are pretty as hell. I want to see :(-

I thought that was canceled? There were also rumors of Turtle Rock, creators of the original L4D, making a western game called Whiskey Sour but I haven't heard anything about that in years. Probably canceled as well.
Hmm... I just googled Turtle Rock and apparently their next game is tentatively titled Evolve and is going to use CryEngine 3. Also, Take-Two bought the rights to it.

When you're that zombie that projectile vomits, you'd be vomiting too probably...either in reaction to, or to result in the desired zombie reaction. Sounds like a good idea to me!
