Rainbow Skies confirmed for PS3 and Vita in 2014

When SideQuest Studios revealed a sequel to its 2012 tactical RPG Rainbow Moon, it was a little hazy on exactly which platforms it'd be released for. The decision's now in, with publisher eastasiasoft confirming that Rainbow Skies will land on the same platforms as Moon--PlayStation 3 and Vita--in 2014.

The decision's now in, with publisher eastasiasoft confirming that Rainbow Skies will indeed land on the same platforms as Moon--PlayStation 3 and Vita--in 2014. eastasiasoft had said there was a "high chance" of PlayStation exclusivity but hey, now it's official: Xboxeers are left out in the cold. Rainbow Skies will support Cross-Play but SideQuest CEO Marcus Pukropski says Cross-Buy is still up in the air. Rainbow Skies won't be a huge departure from the original's grindy RPG formula, but does introduce taming and training monsters, new mini-games, new combo attacks, and other shiny newness. Check the official website for more information. The Vita version of Rainbow Moon is still in development, expected to launch later this year.
