2K Games has announced plans to announce a new XCOM game at Gamescom. Sure, that's a silly thing, but there are many clues as to what the announcement will be.
It's almost certainly a follow-up to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, as the South Korean ratings board has surfaced a new game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC called XCOM: Enemy Within. But will it be an expansion pack, or a full-on sequel?
The publisher told Gamespot that the announcement will happen on August 21, just one day after the release of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified.
Enemy Unknown has been a surprise success for 2K Games, with the publisher happy with sales of the recently-released premium-priced iOS port.

Given the title, I wouldn't be surprised if Enemy Within directly continues the story from Unknown.
