Guacamelee! is coming to PC. Originally released on PS3 and Vita, the Metroidvania-inspired platformer was lavished with praise by our own Steve Watts. In our review, he called it "one of the best action-platformers in recent memory" and "a can't miss."

The PC release is being called the "Gold Edition" of the game, as it includes both the Costume Pack and The Devil's Playground DLC. In addition, the release will support all sorts of Steam functionality, like achievements, cloud saves, and trading cards.

The game will be available on August 8th for $14.99. If you snag it in its first week on Steam, you'll also get DrinkBox Studios' previous game, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, for free as well.

Hey! This is a fantastic game if you haven't played it on PS3 or Vita, duders. Good humor, cool art style, and nice Metroidvania style gameplay. Getting the Tales From Space game is a great bonus also as it's a fun game as well.

Looks like this will be another game I grab on Steam in light of Sony's inability or unwillingness to match Steam's deep discounts. Same reason why I'll be grabbing the Joe Danger games on Steam as well.

PC is kicking more and more ass as time goes on. I can't think of a game that has come out in the past few years that I wanted to play that wasn't on PC, besides Journey.

There are exceptions but I think PC easily has the most diverse and compeling library these days. I do want to play both of those though.

Red Dead Redemption wasn't ported for reasons not made public.
The Last of Us is made by a developer wholly owned by Sony.
That Game Company was under a three game exclusivity deal with Sony.

Not everything comes to PC, but most are there, and many that will never come to a console are on PC as well.
