Soulcalibur: Lost Swords trademarked
Namco Bandai has registered a trademark for Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, implying another installment of the fighting series is on the way.
Namco Bandai is preparing to enter the arena once again. The company has filed a trademark for "Soulcalibur: Lost Swords," the likely name for a new entry in the series. Namco Bandai most recently announced Soulcalibur 2 HD Online, an HD re-release of their classic fighter.
The trademark (via Videogamer) was registered last Thursday, the same day as when Namco Bandai registered Ace Combat Infinity. Could this be free-to-play like many of Namco Bandai's other upcoming offerings, like Ridge Racer: Driftopia and Tekken Revolution?
The trademark also mentions mobile phones, which opens up other possibilities for the franchise. It wouldn't be the first time Namco Bandai has made a mobile Soulcalibur game. Last year, they released an iOS port of the Dreamcast original.
