Another year, another Assassin's Creed, another Limited Edition. These stories pretty much write themselves.

Ubisoft has announced the "Limited Edition" for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Included in the $130 bundle is a copy of the game, an 18" Captain Kenway statue, an embroidered pirate flag, an exclusive 80 page art book, and the full game soundtrack--housed in a SteelBook game case. The LE will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. (Sorry, Wii U owners.)

We jumped in the Animus to see how this year's offering compares to previous years' and we discovered that these special editions are only getting more expensive. For example, last year's AC3 LE was $120. Revelations and Brotherhood had $100 special editions. Based on this trend, we won't be surprised if future AC games have $150 special editions.
