Total War: Rome 2 gets interactive campaign map for attack planning
After watching the Romans try to outmaneuver the Egyptians yesterday, you may want to start planning your path of carnage once Total War: Rome 2 comes out this fall. A newly released interactive campaign map should be just the tool for the job if you are into that amount of detail.

The map shows the "geo-political situation" at the start of the game. It offers some fairly in-depth descriptions about the various territories that can be conquered during the game, including controlling factions and mercenaries available for hire in the area. You can choose the faction you want to play, and plot out a path to destroying the nasty Romans or pesky barbarian neighbors.
Of course, if that seems like too much busy work and you want to be surprised, then just wait for the September 3 release date.
