NHL '94 revived in retro mode for NHL 14

The NHL '94 Anniversary Mode takes virtual ice hockey back to a simpler time for video games, when you were young and cool and your hair! What beautiful hair you had!
It strips the controls down to three buttons--Shoot; Pass; and Turbo--and removes troublesome things like 'rules' so you can freely beat seven shades of hell out of your chums. Toss in retro music, celebrations, blue ice, star-shaped player indicators and oh, it's like The Good Old Days.

Wait hold on. Didn't they already do this a few years ago? I have played NHL 94 (or maybe 95) on PS3 using a modern NHL game disc like NHL 12 or something. Or was I drunk and remembering this wrong?

It was in NHL 94 was in NHL 06 I think.

I dont even like hockey and im going to buy this, when i was a kid me and my younger brother woukd rent nhl 94 all the time. We didnt play to see who scored more goals tho, we woukd just check each other all game long and whoever had the most at the end of the game won. It was so much fun, and we used to laugh so hard while playing it. I was like..14 and he was 7...bjt some damn good fun was had
