Time Warner Cable and Microsoft have inked a deal where TWC customers will be able to access programming through Xbox 360. The app is slated to launch this summer and, as with other Xbox TV offerings, will require a Live Gold subscription.
According to the announcement, the app will provide up to 300 live TV channels--the most of any live TV app on Xbox 360 right now. (Time to up your game, Xfinity!) The planned lineup includes channels like AMC, BBC World News, Bravo, Cartoon Network, CNN, Comedy Central, Food Network, HGTV, and more.
"TWC TV is a significant addition to Xbox 360, bringing our customers their favorite entertainment in one place--enhanced TV experience, games, movies, music, sports and entertainment apps," Blair Westlake, Microsoft's corporate VP for Media & Entertainment, said in a release. "Our partnership with TWC enhances all that is available on Xbox 360 today, which will we continue expand. We're thrilled to offer TWC TV to U.S. Xbox Live members and Time Warner Cable subscribers."
