Batman: Arkham Origins gameplay trailer POWS! E3

You've watched the cinematic trailer and read our preview (I trust you), which means marketing now deems you sufficiently informed to watch actual Batman: Arkham Origins gameplay. Warner Bros dropped the debut trailer during Sony's pre-E3 press conference last night, showing some merry old BIFF!ing and POW!ing as various villains attempt to cash a bounty on the Bat's head.

Development is handled this time not by series creator Rocksteady but rather the Warner Bros. Games Montreal studio, though the new folks seem to be doing a pretty decent job of it. Andrew wrote in our preview, "It may be a largely familiar experience, but the small new tweaks made to an already-solid formula should suffice for Batman fans looking for another Arkham fix."

Batman: Arkham Origins is due October 25 on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. The PS3 edition has exclusive Knightfall and Adam West skins. ZAMM!

Looks awesome, as usual. The only problem I have with prequels, is when they make the technology for the character or the world itself better than the games (or movies) succeeding it. Take the new Star Wars 1 - 3 for example.

But in the original games, its not like he was inventing the technology at the time. he was just getting technology he already had, but didnt have because of being trapped somewhere without his stuff. So, in this sense it would make sense for him to have just of good stuff or better in prequels.

True, but SW over compensates for considerably weaker story than the original. Ya, not much of an argument.

Looks like this will be at least as solid as the other two games. That's certainly a good thing. I'm glad to see that the voice for Batman fits ok.

      Always be your self.
      Unless you can be Batman.
      Always be Batman.
      Unless you're Kevin Conroy.
      Then you ARE Batman.
