At its E3 press conference, Electronic Arts showed off a first look at the upcoming Need for Speed movie. Fast-tracked for February 2014, the movie stars Aaron Paul, best known for his role on Breaking Bad. Apparently, the film is "rooted in the tradition of the great car culture films of the 70s while being extremely faithful to the spirit of the video game franchise," and is TOTALLY not an attempt at cashing in on the Fast & Furious cash-cow.

  Could be good. So far, though, all I got is that there's lot of cars flying everywhere. They need the other part of Need for Speed: The fun thrill of drifting for three miles.

  "Need for Speed is real and authentic to the car racing culture", cut to racers running a cop car off the road and it flipping over and over. That's authentic? I don't see those stories in the news very often.
