Crysis 3 is moving out of the Liberty Dome and into the Pacific closer to where the original series began with the just announced Lost Island DLC. Coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 4, the pack will cost $14.99 (1200 MS points).
The pack offers two new multiplayer modes--Frenzy and Possession--as well as four new maps and some new weapons. The loose story premise here is that an alien presence has been discovered near the Philippines (about 200 miles from Ling Shan where Crysis and Crysis Warhead took place) and rebels must destroy it before CELL can grab it.
"The gameplay in the Crysis series has always been deeply connected to the unique environments in which the action takes place," Cevat Yerli, CEO of developer Crytek, said in a release. "By transporting players out of the Liberty Dome and into the Lost Island setting, we're not only returning to Crysis' spiritual roots, but also introducing fresh ways to play that provide Crysis 3 fans with genuinely game-changing new tactical options, game modes and weapons."
