Not all of those memories, however, are positive. In fact, some Xbox 360 owners will come away from this generation with one lasting image from the last eight years--the infamous Red Ring of Death.
The E74 error was followed up by the E68 error.

I don't think I'll be picking up a new console until I learn about what hardware failures that will start happening and by whom. I have a BC PS3 that runs just fine while my roommate has paid for 3 xboxes out of pocket so I like to think that I got the better deal than him :/.
I can't afford to replace a console multiple times over it's lifespan. -

really how bout the PSone and PS2 that broke in 6months. SOny does not have a good track record either. I went through 4 PS2s. I have not had any issues with my launch 360. i only upgraded twice for HDMI input and the new slim design. at least xbox sent you a box to ship it back to them to fix. Sony did nothing for my PSone or PS2s. as far as trying to make up for mistakes Sony is nonexistent and Xbox spends billions to rectify. I'll go with a company that will take care of their customers. Xbox Next cannot wait.

I had to have 3 replaced, only the last one did I pay for the dvd drive no longer working. The first one I had my replacement fee refunded after they extended the warranty. I'd like to think my song helped a tiny bit to give a voice to the frustration of gamers everywhere and push the extended warranty to a reality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTntHoFMG4g (Xbox 360 Red Light Serenade)

Falcon came out almost a year prior to Jasper which introduced the 65nm CPU and they put a bigger heatsink on it.
The current chipsets unified both the CPU and GPU onto the same chip as well which was a big deal I remember reading about somewhere because they merged two different chips from two companies (IBM for CPU, ATi/AMD for GPU).
