Madden NFL 25's $99 'Anniversary Edition' includes Sunday Ticket

Madden NFL 25 is getting an Amazon-exclusive "Anniversary Edition" that includes DirecTV's

26

EA Sports announced a limited Anniversary Edition of Madden 25 today. The $99 set comes with a one year subscription to DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket, which usually costs a few hundred bucks by itself.

If you don't already have DirecTV, the special edition includes a $10 off per month promo code to get the service, which will let you use the "NFL Sunday Ticket Max" too. If you already are a DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket subscriber, you can access it with your computer and mobile devices as well. Finally, if you're out of range of DirecTV service, you can at least get a code for a trial of the regular 17-week season to watch on your computer, tablet, or mobile device.

The Anniversary Edition will also include an exclusive Ultimate Team pack each week during the regular season. The special edition is exclusive to the online retailer Amazon.

If I wasn't so happy with FiOS (the Ultimate TV package already comes with RedZone), I'd be all over this.

that's still awesome. some industrious person will order 100 of them and hawk the codes. unfortunately I'm usually working on saturday night into sunday and miss most of the games anyway so sunday ticket is useless to me. :(

For an extra tenner, you can upgrade it to include the mobile version. Then you're set!

I'm usually sleeping through the day games... I still got it because fuck it. I'll sell the madden game to my buddy who will buy it anyway and I get Sunday Ticket for $40.

OH, *IF* you do this, remember that it's a renewing service. So, if you don't call and cancel they'll renew you for the full amount next season.

At the bottom of the DirecTv page it says this:

NFL SUNDAY TICKET and NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX will automatically continue each season at special renewal rates unless customer calls to cancel prior to start of season. Subscriptions cannot be cancelled (in part or in whole) after the start of the season and subscription fees cannot be refunded.

Ok so you still have to pay for Sunday ticket (at a discount of $10 off per month) but you get the upgrade to Max for free, which I believe costs 100 bucks.

No. Read the post above. The shack article doesn't spell it out very well, the amazon listing makes it much more clear what you get.

Based on the amazon listing, it seems like if I am already a subscriber to directv and Sunday ticket Max, then I get streaming service for free, which is already included in Sunday ticket max...

I really don't get it at all.

No, if you have or can get DTV you get Sunday Ticket for free as well as $10 off your DTV bill for the first year. If you can't then you just get Sunday Ticket online service for free

So is this is worth getting if I don't particularly care for the game, don't have DTV, and only have broadband internet at home and a phone w/ data plan?

You can't watch Sunday Ticket from the phone unless your platform has a native app for it (I know iOS has one, not sure about others). It streams just fine through a normal browser. I just plug my laptop into the TV and then use a tablet/phone app to work as my laptop's mouse.

works well enough, no more trouble/pain than using it on other platforms. Has a kinda cool telestrator mode.

So, if I don't have Dtv and can get it, I'll only get the option of subbing and getting sunday ticket max free with $10 off a month for a year?

          Hmm. Can anyone confirm that?

I wanted to get this for my dad, but I know he's not interested in Dtv except for Sunday ticket. He's also in an area where he can get service. So I don't wanna be out the $99 if we can't use the online streaming without subbing for Dtv.

when you sign up online for Sunday Ticket streaming the verification is literally a couple checkboxes saying "I promise I can't get DTV here and that's why I'm not paying $2600 for this package"

I can, also if it doesn't work I'm sure you can easily sell the access to someone else and recoup the cost
