Shin Megami Tensei 4 trailer shows a samurai's duties
Becoming a fledgling samurai in Shin Megami Tensei IV sounds pleasant, but what responsibilities does an initiate have? Cleaning shoes? Answering phones? A new gameplay trailer shows a samurai's duties are far more of the 'wearing a cool wrist computer' and 'slaying demons' variety, thankfully.

Atlus's RPG is set in the year 1492 in the totally-not-Japan-okay kingdom of Mikado. You may recall that 1492 was the year when a demonic army invaded. Players will battle the demons but also recruit them to fight their former chums, in classic SMT style. Expect a branching story, multiple endings, and all that jazz.
Shin Megami Tensei 4 comes to Nintendo 3DS on July 16, a whopping nine years after the last core SMT game, Nocturne, hit North America. The wait between Japanese and western releases is pleasantly short this time around--less than two months.
