The Starship Damrey, part of Level-5's second round of bite-sized eShop games from noted Japanese developers, is coming on May 16. The text adventure from genre pioneers Kazuya Asano and Takemaru Akibo has you searching for clues in the far reaches of space.

Nintendo announced the release date. The other two games in the Guild02 set, Keiji Inafune's "Bugs vs Tanks" and Kaz Ayabe's "Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale" have not yet been given release dates.

Meanwhile, Siliconera (via Tiny Cartridge) caught wind of three new trademarks all registered on the same day by Level-5, which could mean a Guild03 collection is on the way. Their titles are Wonderflick, Rare Drop Adventurer Note, and Earth Devastating B-rank Girlfriend.

Level-5 plus Sci-fi? Sounds interesting.... text adventure though?

I'm glad there are lots of proven developers taking staps at downloadable games... but I really got burned by the last one I bought. Level-5's Liberation Maiden was all kinds of bad. It was five levels long and I only made it past three, it was just a chore to play. Boring, repetitive combat and bad controls.

Liberation Maiden was only published by Level 5, it was developed by Grasshopper.

That said, you're not wrong. I couldn't get past the first level because the game didn't have any sort of control option for left-handed players.

Actually, I think I'm mistaken about that first part. The game might have been developed by Level 5 (I'm honestly not sure) but it was designed by Suda 51, of Grasshopper Manufacture.

Yeah, it's something like that. Seeing those two names on it made it a day-one purchase for me. Will make sure to do some more research before I play any of these newer games.
