Regular Show games coming from D3Publisher
D3Publisher has signed an agreement with Cartoon Network to make games based on Regular Show, after the success of Ben 10 and Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?
D3Publisher announced an agreement with Cartoon Network today to produce games based on its animated comedy Regular Show. This is a continuation of D3's deal with the TV network, after releasing various games based on Ben 10 and last year's Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?
Regular Show revolves around the adventures of a six-foot-tall blue jay named Mordecai and his best friend Rigby, a hyperactive raccoon. The first game will be available later this year, but the announcement didn't shed much light on what a game adaptation would play like.
"As a brand, Regular Show is tailor-made for an interactive release, with main characters who spend their time slacking off, playing video games or involved in hijinks that are certainly worthy of being in a game," said Cartoon Network VP of consumer products Pete Yoder, in the announcement. "With a show creator who loves games working closely with a partner that has proven success creating high-quality licensed titles, we’re excited to release our first Regular Show game later this year."
