Broken Age debut trailer is lovely

Gosh, the artwork Double Fine used when revealing its crowdfounded adventure game as Broken Age was so nice, if only the game could actually look like that. Oh! My my, it actually does. The first trailer debuted during the Game Developers Choice Awards last night and yes, it's looking quite delightful.

Broken Age tells the parallel stories of a girl reluctant to be sacrificed to a monster and a boy living on a spaceship who wants to get away from his computer care to go do good. Their dual adventures are thoroughly charming and lovely, the trailer would suggest.

You can still pre-order Broken Age for $15, which nets you beta access too. For $30, you gain access to 2 Player Productions' behind-the-scenes documentary series too. It'll come to PC, Mac and Linux whenever Double Fine fancies releasing it.

I feel the same way. It was so cool to be able to walk up to their booth at PAX East and just talk to some of the people there. Just an awesome vibe from this studio. My favorite studio in the industry right now!

I heard they were selling or giving away a game on floppy disk there. I'm so jealous of anyone that owns it. I'm convinced I should go to PAX next year so I can meet indie game developers and play tons of cool games.

Well, they were selling this game pack which had seven games in it (from DF and Capy Games). Most of the games were on Steam codes but I guess inside the box was an actual 3.5 floppy disk which had some mysterious Capy game on it... if you have a drive which can read it. I already owned most of the games so I didn't buy it. But it was a cool idea and a decent value. I bought a T-shirt instead.

The trailer music alone just sold me.

This is nice and all, but it doesn't sound anything like the trailer music? I'm pretty stupid, so I'm probably missing something obvious.
