Dust: An Elysian Tail coming to Steam, aiming for April release
Dust: An Elysian Tail is coming to Steam soon, and may hit as early as sometime in April.
At his PAX East panel over the weekend, Dust: An Elysian Tail creator Dean Dodrill revealed that the game is heading to Steam sometime soon, and possibly as early as April. He says the Steam version will support numerous visual and control options, and will run at 1080p. It will still be published by Microsoft Game Studios.
Dodrill also told Kotaku that after the Steam port is done, he'll be working on an entirely new project unrelated to Elysian Tail. He mentioned it will probably be quiet for the next year, but the development cycle won't be as long as Dust. He also said he wants to continue the Dust series, as teased during the panel, but with another project coming first it will be "a while" before he has anything more to say about it. "I do love the characters though, and look forward to continuing their adventure."
Dust was a suprise hit of last year's Summer of Arcade, garnering a positive review from me and reviewers on the whole.
