Six raucous rhythms from those rockin' riot grrrls will grace the ears of players in Gone Home as we retrace the steps of a troubled teen. They're plucked from the albums Pottymouth and Calculated, if you know your riot grrrl.
The Fullbright Company was founded by three of the folks behind the cracking Minerva's Den DLC for BioShock 2 (now joined by a fourth member), so they know their environmental storytelling.
"It's really goddamn amazing to have the opportunity for this music to be in Gone Home," co-founder Steve Gaynor said in today's announcement. "Authenticity is our number one priority, and the inclusion of tracks by Heavens to Betsy and Bratmobile really drives home the era and the place and the feelings surrounding the story of Gone Home. We're psyched."
And hey, new screenshots, including a brillo zine.
The game is slated to launch on PC, Mac, and Linux in the second half of 2013. In the less-distant future, it's nominated for Excellence in Narrative at the 2013 IGF next week.
