Nintendo has planned a slate of DLC from launch on March 24 through April, including new dungeons, items, and Pokémans. It'll kick off with three paid Mystery Dungeons and one which'll be free until April 30, the Poké Forest Mystery Dungeon. More DLC will follow.

Along with the local multiplayer, Gates to Infinity will pack StreetPass features. "Players can also help out other players by tagging them using the StreetPass feature and reviving their fallen Pokémon using Reviver Seeds," Nintendo explains.
