Rage 'The Scorchers' DLC coming December 18
The long-rumored and teased DLC for Rage has finally been announced, with published Bethesda announcing The Scorchers for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC for December 18.
A poorly kept secret, id Software has finally officially announced "The Scorchers" DLC for Rage. The add-on will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on December 18.
According to the Bethblog, "The Scorchers" adds six new areas where "you will fight alongside new allies to defend the Hager Settlment from a maniacal bandit clan known as The Scorchers." It boasts some new mini-games, a new ultra-Nightmare mode for the hardcore players, and an Extended Play mode so players can keep going beyond the end of the game to finish off the tougher achievements. And, if you must have something new to make a pretty pincushions of your enemies, you'll have to check out the new Nailgun.
The DLC will cost $4.99 (400 MS Points).

Yeah, in terms of Bethesda acknowledging this DLC pack's existence, "FUCK, Nick!" (literally) ...but the price is right.

I'm half-wondering if this DLC almost got cancelled. The marketing rule is that the first DLC should be released within 1 to 2 months of the game's release. Rage released on October 4, 2011; the Id Software layoff round was confirmed on January 10, 2012, but the rumors were swirling around about December.

$5 is not a bad price for that. I still get texture popping though with my 680. With internet fixes its no where near as bad as launch but its enough to piss me off when I move around. I can't justify spending $5 to to piss myself off. I'm not right int the head, but I'm not that far off center.

I traded this game in like 2 weeks after I played it.... So, I don't think I'll be getting the DLC that they finally got around to finishing.. Bottom line this game was a flop and really wasn't that good. I play a lot of FPS's and can name a couple old ass games that had more of an interesting story and game play. Oh and the ending? Rushed and garbage, that's about the only thing I'm interested in for this dlc... I'll youtube it... :P
