Hitman Trilogy HD outed by achievements, retail
A retail listing and sets of achievements/trophies have outed a possible release date and price for the Hitman Trilogy HD, which compiles Silent Assassin, Contracts, and Blood Money.
Update: Square Enix has confirmed these details in a press release, with the official title as Hitman HD: Trilogy.
If Hitman: Absolution has made you curious to go back and take on Agent 47's greatest hits, you're just in luck. A retail listing, along with sets of achievements and trophies, indicate that an HD collection is on its way early next year.
The Amazon listing (via Joystiq) for the "Hitman Trilogy HD" features its own convincing box art. The bundle promises remastered versions of Silent Assassin, Contracts, and Blood Money, similar to a retail leak from over the summer. It sets the release date for January 29, 2013, at a price of $39.99.
Adding fuel to the fire are achievements and trophies for the 360 and PS3 versions, respectively. These both refer to the game as "Hitman HD Collection," which may be the European name for the game.

I'll definitely play this as I never got around to Contracts. While the new one isn't bad, I think Hitman 2 and Blood Money are better. Even though it isn't vital to play the games in order, they really should have released this last summer before Absolution. Maybe it's a marketing thing, assuming Absolution would lead to more interest in the past titles rather than the other way around.
