PlayStation Store revamp now live
The PlayStation Store update has now launched, offering a new look, sorting options, and an improved search.
The PlayStation Store has launched its new look today, albeit slightly later than originally planned. You can log in to get a look at the new digs, which features larger displays and various usability and categorization tweaks.
As previously reported, the now breaks down sections into a greater variety of sub-sections. Games is now divided by Featured Content and standard categories. Inside those categories are new filtering options like Game Type, Price, Play Type, and so on. You can use those filters to sort content, or use the improved Search with smarter results. So far, no plans have been announced to offer a similar update to the Vita store.

Ok I seriously think the author of this article needs to use a newer image to better represent the new revamped store now available here in the US. I say this because I took one look at that image and saw that Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition was being offered free to PSN+ members of which I am one and immediately flipped on my PS3 to get my copy only to find that said game was NOT being offered for free. Also to add to what has already been said, the new store feels slower than before. Prettier but slower.

Loaded it up last nite and while it does look better it's the same ole shit. Hell, it already needs updated some more. For starters you have to manually search to find ps2, ps1 and psn games. There's no tab for them. Why go through all the trouble of updating the store when it's just as hard to find psn games as it was before. Another thing is it sure would be nice to have a wishlist...
