Angry Birds Star Wars revealed, coming in November
Angry Birds Star Wars has been revealed, set for a release date of November 8.
That was fast. An Angry Birds crossover with the Star Wars film franchise was just teased on Friday, and today Rovio has spilled details on the project. The game will hit iOS, Android, and PCs on November 8, as each bird occupies a familiar role from the classic trilogy.
Red Bird will be playing the role of Luke Skywalker as an X-Wing pilot, for example. Lucasfilm vice president of licensing Paul Southern told USA Today the two characters have "kind of similar" personalities, which should come as a surprise to those of us who didn't realize Red Bird had a personality. Other birds will fulfill the roles of Chewie, Leia, Han Solo, and Obi-Wan, and the game will feature piggy versions of Darth Vader and Stormtroopers.
The game will also feature familiar Star Wars locales, like Tatooine and Hoth. It will make use of the gravitational physics from Angry Birds Space too. As long as we're mixing elements of the various spin-offs, is it too much to hope for constructing a Death Star a la Bad Piggies building system?

Come on, being serious? Really? I'm beyond a video gamer, I've devoted half my life to video games. That doesn't stop me from enjoying casual games which are just perfect for when I want to do something else at the same time, or just want to lie in bed, listen to music and do something.
What exactly do you think it is that motivates people to play a game like Angry Birds, if not that they enjoy them? Don't be silly. -
