If you pay $29.99, you also get alpha access from October 15, plus $15 of in-game currency, 3 guests keys for a beta weekend, and a month of server hosting. Or, for $49.99, you get $30 of eCash and six months of hosting.

"Well, we're not really developing from scratch. The design and idea for The War Z has been in place for a couple of years - we only just started developing the specific features for the game in the past year. Our team has decades of experience and we are utilizing technology that has been around for several years now and has proven itself in games with over 2 million online players worldwide. We're also relying on a mass of data collected by our friends at Online Warmongers while operating War Inc. Battle Zone. "
That makes it sound like it is possible all the Day Z parts came after Day Z. -

They do look like they're pretty liberal about lifting things though...

Seriously, lemme just give ya fifty fuckin' bucks and spare me the nickel and dime bullshit.
<<<Absolutely refuses.
Except Borderlands 2. You can charge me fifty cents for a magic key. I'd probably buy twenty bucks worth of those. Of course I got a whole game worth of game out of it up front, so it isn't exactly the same thing. -

Some say it looks just like DayZ... well i agree and as long as they make a proper game out of it i think it is great.
Other say that it is worst than DayZ, but i am yet to find a good explanation why it is bad, i mean saying that maps are bad or something else is bad... well did you play it? if you have, please give us some facts rather than just blind critique
And finally, they have a $19.99 starting price, i think it is a great starting price, compare to some really crappy games that some of those big companies sell for $60, so complaining about in game currency is unnecessary, unless you know of something like them selling POWER (better guns and armor)
So over all, i think it is a promising game for a reasonable $$... I am in!
