Mass Effect 3 patch to fix bugs, exploits this week
A large patch for Mass Effect 3 is set to hit this week, fixing to platform-specific bugs and exploits, and balancing various powers and weapons.
A large Mass Effect 3 patch is scheduled to hit later this week, to address a variety of bugs, exploits, and other software gremlins. It also addresses a few hardware-specific issues for each platform.
The patch notes are pretty extensive, but a few highlights stand out. The Krogan Vanguard's rage bonus now works, players who disconnect during gameplay can return online without a reboot, and you can't grab Geth Pyros over cover. On the bright side, you can headshot Banshees, Geth Primes, and Brutes, or hit the Atlas exhaust port for extra damage. It also adjusts balancing for several powers and weapons.
Meanwhile, the patch fixes exploits that allowed players to be invincible and invisible, and fire rockets from other weapons. The PC fixes mouse bindings and an Origin issue, PS3 gets fixes to invites and a game boot crash, and the Xbox 360 fixes a rare crash at the title screen. BioWare expects the patch to hit tomorrow.
