Max Payne 3 'Hostage Negotiation' DLC detailed, still no release date set
Rockstar has apologized for the long wait on its "Hostage Negotiation" map pack for Max Payne 3. The company has released some more details, but isn't ready to give a release date.
The "Hostage Negotiation" multiplayer pack for Max Payne 3 has been a long time coming, after being originally planned for September. While Rockstar isn't prepared to give a release date just yet, it did apologize for the delay and give out some new details about what we can expect from the upcoming DLC.
A post on the Rockstar Blog details the new additions. The pack will consist of four maps: Club Moderno, the stadium Estadio Do Galatians, the O Palacio Strip Club, and Favela Heights. It will also include an M24 Sniper Rifle and an IA2 Assault Rifle, an Explosive Burst for booby traps, a Bomb Suit to protect against explosive damage, and an Intimidation Mask to slow down enemy reload times. It will cost $9.99.
"Our apologies to Max Payne fans who've been waiting for this one and the other upcoming packs - we're working hard to bring you this and all the other DLC and should have a release date to announce for this next pack very soon," the blog states. Rockstar is releasing a Chrome weapons bonus to Social Club members later this week to thank them for their patience, and no doubt to sate them until the game gets another injection of DLC. The content is still planned for sometime this fall.
