'Vote: The Game' coming from Infinity Blade dev
Epic and Chair have announced Vote: The Game, a free iOS app that has you pick a candidate and "debate" the other one. With your fists.
The youth vote tends to be notoriously low during election seasons, which can only be attributed to video games and rock-and-roll music. Infinity Blade developer Chair Entertainment has announced their part in helping solve that problem, with Vote: The Game. This free app launches tomorrow, letting you duke it out as Barack Obama or Mitt Romney.
You'll play as one of the two candidates, choose their outfits, equipment, and score boosters, and then battle the other Infinity Blade-style. Votes earned during the matches go toward a cumulative worldwide total. We assume that total will then be rendered worthless by five or ten key states that are weighted more heavily than the others, for the sake of accuracy.
The developers have also teamed up with the Video Game Voters Network and Project Vote Smart to provide in-app tools to check where you should register to vote, learn more about the candidates, and find out more about the election process. A portion of the proceeds will go toward Rock the Vote to encourage young voter registration.
