After a brief stint of exclusivity on Xbox Live Arcade, Tony Hawk's HD facelift is making its way to the PS3. Activision has announced that the game will be available on PlayStation Network on August 28th.
Speaking on the PlayStation.Blog, Robomodo president Josh Tsui says that the delay was totally not about any exclusivity deal made with Microsoft. "If there was a 'Make PS3' button, we would've been tempted to hit that a long time ago. But we wanted to take the time to fix a few things and make sure that the PS3 experience is everything it can be," he explained.
In addition to the release date, Tsui also offered further details on the upcoming DLC, based on THPS3. In addition to adding revert, the pack will add three levels: Airport, LA, and Canada, as well as new pros, including Steve Caballero. There's no release date for the DLC yet. You can read our review of the XBLA version if you're curious about picking this up.

Any game that uses the D-pad on a 360 controller doesn't ever feel right. It still plays fine though, it runs well (UE3 texture loading issues not with standing), and it's a great bit of nostalgic fun. There are even some carry over quirks from the original games that remain in this such as what it takes to hit the sweet spot for wall rides.
If you're really worried about control issues, pick up one of the new 360 controllers with the pop up d-pad.
