Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pre-orders to include early beta access
Want to play Counter-Strike: GO one week before everyone else? Time to pre-order the game on Steam.
The cheapest way to pick up Valve's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be through the PSN Play promotion on PS3. But the earliest way to play the long-awaited tactical shooter is to buy it on Steam for PC and Mac. By doing so, you'll be able to play the game one week earlier than its planned August 21st release.
Pre-orders of the game have opened on Steam. Early adopters will be able to get the game at a 10% discount ($13.49). In addition, pre-orders include early access to the "beta" version of the game on August 14th.
While it's unclear what content will be included in the "beta," the final version of the game will feature over 45 weapons, "loads of maps," new game modes, new visuals, and over 165 Steam Achievements.

I have played the beta and to me it looked like they wanted the COD kiddies to play this game. The guns sound like shit and not cool, they feel weird, bullets are now "real" so no raytrace and kill when you click. They included gungame as a game mode, and I hate that. The game looks ok, but yeah, not buying this even though it's cheap.
