Chatty: Game trailers, finales
In this week's edition, Chatty discusses their favorite trailers, finales, and Captain Picard.
You've run out of new stories to read, listened to the latest episode of Weekend Confirmed, and still want more Shacknews? While these threads have expired, you can join thousands of other gamers as we discuss everything from videogame industry news to politics in the Chatty. Make sure you log-in and check your filters if you can't see the following:
Game trailers are a dime a dozen, particularly with renewed publisher dedication to conferences like E3 and PAX, and very few stand the test of time in our memories. Join Dave-A and Shack regulars for a trip down memory lane to see some of the greatest video game trailers, including games like Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Assassin's Creed.
Along those same lines, every game has an ending, but few are memorable. Some have great gameplay only to fall flat on their faces when it comes to a satisfying conclusion (here's looking at you Borderlands). What singular game has the best ending for you? Join vitek r to see Shacker favorites, including Half-Life 2, Baldur's Gate 2, Freespace 2, and many other classics.
As the summer concludes, we're just a bit over halfway through 2012. That means the busy fall schedule is just over the horizon. Ready yourselves and your wallets, Shackers. What games are you looking forward to? Myself, you ask? XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Dishonored, and Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm (hopefully) are just around the corner.
Also taking place over the last week is a thread with itsjames, encouraging Shackers to make 'bold predictions' for society over the next several years. What do you think will happen? Make a list, and check it twice.
Hard Games Club members, paging all Hard Games Club members. drhazard wants to know if you think Legend of Grimrock, a throw back to the dungeon crawlers of old, is worthy of being included in the hall. Should it be included, or no? Make your arguments, ladies and gentlemen. Need some help deciding? Check out the Shacker created list of Hard Games Club titles, also in the thread.
