Injustice shows off 13 minutes of gameplay
Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm showed off a hearty chunk of its new fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us during EVO over the weekend, with 13 minutes of gameplay from the DC Comics dust up for all to enjoy.
Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm's next fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us looked jolly good fun when we saw it at E3, and now you lucky proles get to see it too. Creative director Ed Boon showed off the DC Comics dust up during the weekend's EVO championships, with 13 minutes of gameplay for all to enjoy.
While they're hardly show matches, Boon demonstrates how Injustice's multi-arena environments are filled with heaps of hazards, from precariously hanging generators to the Batmobile's rocket launchers. The game's two character types, power and tech, use environmental hazards differently, so Batman might pelt a burning car with Batarangs to trigger little engine explosions while Solomon Grundy will outright hit someone with it.
It's a fair show of what Injustice brings to the table, and has a nice peek at its replacements for X-Ray Moves, which include Flash running around the globe to deliver a punch.
Injustice is due on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U in 2013. Here's the demo, captured by IGN:
