SimCity Social has completed its beta period and launched in its full version on Facebook, EA announced today. The game launched in beta only a couple weeks ago, but now it has had its official grand opening. It's free-to-play, but relies on doling out a set number of actions per day to keep play at a steady pace.

It does integrate the usual social game features, like hiring your friends for tasks in the city, or using in-game currency (that can be bought with real currency) to build up your burgeoning town. If you "Like" the game you can get some in-game goodies. The company is also partnering with Dunkin Donuts for in-game advertising, in which you can set up the shops in your town for "Coffee Boosts."

Those looking for a pure new SimCity experience without the social hooks will have to wait until 2013 when the new game, simply called SimCity, launches.
