Shack PSA: Battlefield 3 'Close Quarters' on PS3 today, PC/360 next week
Battlefield 3's "Close Quarters" DLC will be available for non-Premium members on PS3 today once the PlayStation Store update goes live, and next week on PC and Xbox 360.
Battlefield 3's "Close Quarters" downloadable content is coming to the PlayStation 3 today, followed by PC and Xbox 360 next week. "But wait," you say, "isn't Close Quarters already out?" Welcome, my friend, to the wonderful world of timed exclusivity and premium membership plans.
You see, Battlefield 3 Premium members have already been playing Close Quarters. EA and DICE even made it a part of their pitch for the recent double XP weekend. But starting with today's PlayStation Store update, non-Premium members can play it on PlayStation 3. But a second layer of timed exclusivity means that if you're playing on PC or Xbox 360, you have to wait until next week unless you want to pony up for Premium.
The Close Quarters pack includes 10 new assignments, 5 dog tags, and 10 new weapons. It will cost you $14.99 (1200 MSP).

Been playing Close Quarters since it's release for premium users. A bit of a refreshing change, been really enjoying it. All my kits have changed to fit with the smaller maps, and gun master is great fun, you can't go wrong with gun game.
Some people are complaining that it's too much like COD. I say great, now I don't need to buy COD, or play a dated engine.
