Starcraft: Ghost 'just as likely' as Lost Vikings 3, says Blizzard
Starcraft 2 lead designer Dustin Browder says no one at Blizzard ever talks about bringing back Starcraft: Ghost, making its revival "just as likely" as Lost Vikings 3.
Starcraft 2 is a critically acclaimed revival of the franchise, but some fans still feel the pangs of the canceled Starcraft: Ghost. Now that Starcraft 2 is setting the world ablaze all over again, might we see the canceled project brought back too? Not likely.
"There are no plans," SC2 lead designer Dustin Browder said.
"I'm not saying we won't ever, but I'll tell you what I do know: There are no meetings going on. There is no team. No one talks about doing it," Browder told Kotaku. "It doesn't mean that in two years from now, we won't have those meetings, the team won't be formed, but there is literally nothing happening around that game right now that would indicate that there's any likelihood that it will happen. It's just as likely we'll do that again as Lost Vikings 3 or whatever. There's just no guarantees one way or the other, but nothing is happening."
If you're incredibly optimistic, you might be thinking, "awesome, Lost Vikings 3!" But we're pretty sure that's not how he meant it. While Browder's comments are laced with language that anything is possible, Ghost doesn't even seem to be on the table right now for Blizzard.

StarCraft: Ghost was announced almost 10 years ago (TGS 2002). http://www.somethingawful.com/d/news/ghost-dog-way.php
The feeling of intense disappointment in the air was palpable. Then came the rage. People ranted that it wasn't just "not Starcraft 2" it was a console game that extended and no doubt ruined the franchise.
