Transformers: Fall of Cybertron gets cartoon voice cast
High Moon Studios has announced the voice cast for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. It includes Peter Cullen and Gregg Berger, the original voices of Optimus Prime and Grimlock, respectively.
High Moon Studios' Transformers games have served as a delicious dessert to get the taste of Michael Bay out of our mouths. Even the one based on a Michael Bay movie was better than the actual Michael Bay movie. Part of that is the authenticity of the characters, who aren't racist caricatures and tend to feature some recognizable voice talent. High Moon has announced the cast for the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, and it features some familiar faces.
Peter Cullen will reprise his role as Optimus Prime, as he is wont to do. Gregg Berger, the original voice of the dino-bot Grimlock will also come back to voice his character. Other voices include the omnipresent Nolan North (Bruticus, Cliffjumper, and Brawl), Troy Baker (Jazz, Jetfire, and Kickback), Fred Tatasciore (Megatron, Ratchet, and Metroplex), Steve Blum (Shockwave, Swindle, and Sharpshot), and Isaac Singleton (Soundwave). It's a veritable who's who of Transformers characters.
"There is no mistaking the voices of Optimus Prime and Grimlock, and we are so happy that fans will get to experience a game featuring the distinctive voices of many of the most iconic and popular Transformers characters," said Hasbro senior VP of digital media Mark Blecher, in the announcement. "The development team at High Moon Studios did a phenomenal job hand-picking the cast for what is by far the most diverse character roster ever in a Transformers video game."
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is scheduled to hit on August 28. Check out our E3 preview for impressions.
