Kinect's appeal to non-core gamers is largely due to the number of fitness games and apps available on it, from Dance Central to Just Dance to yoga games, and more. At its E3 press conference, Microsoft has announced a partnership with the biggest brand in sports: Nike.

The Nike+ service will be coming to Kinect, Microsoft has announced. A new fitness app called Nike+ Kinect Training will be available this holiday season. Using the Kinect's ability to track your body, it will offer a virtual personal trainer and a "custom training program rooted in elite Nike fitness and specifically designed to help athletes of all levels reach their potential in the comfort of their own homes." The training program will identify your strengths and weaknesses, and will ping you on a regular basis to keep you motivated on your daily workout.
