I was thinking to myself last night, out of the blue for no reason I can discern even now, "Man...I hope MWO has a TRIBES: Ascend style 'just give us some money now and get a bucket of content' buy-in and is worth it." Those videos are gorgeous, but I'm a little wary of how plodding it looks. I don't mind a certain gravitas to the movement of 100 ton walking tank things, but I played MechWarrior 4/Black Knight/Mercenaries for something like 5 years and never really agreed with the "rubber suit" complaints about the movement/feel.

Good thing they're getting this out to pre-empt any of Activitions's attempt at an MMO Modern Warfare.
