Strata Scavenger is Operation Raccoon City dev's next game
Slant Six Games, the studio behind Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, has announced its next game: a mysterious original IP titled "Strata Scavenger."
Now that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is wrapped up, Slant Six Games is teasing its next project. The studio has already announced its next game: "Strata Scavenger." But beyond the name, the developer is being extremely tight-lipped.
The developer site (via Eurogamer) carries a lone piece of teaser artwork, and a release window of 2013. It doesn't even mention planned platforms or a genre for the title. We imagine it has something to do with scavenging stratas.
A company statement notes that this will be the studio's first original IP, and touts that the Canadian Media Fund gave a grant "based on its creative and technical innovation." Unfortunately, based on the critical reception for the studio's previous efforts--Operation Raccoon City and SOCOM: Confrontation--there's good reason to be skeptical on whether or not the team can deliver.
