Transformers Prime coming to Wii, DS, 3DS
Activision has announced Transformers Prime, a title aimed at younger audiences and tied into the cartoon series. It's due this fall for Wii, 3DS, and DS.
Activision already has one Transformers game in the pipeline, but what's the harm in another? The company announced Transformers Prime today, a game set on the TV show of the same name. Since it's targeted at a younger audience, the game is slated to come this fall on Nintendo's family of systems: Wii, 3DS, and DS.
Transformers Prime will feature robot brawling interspersed with driving sequences in locales around the world. The game, like the TV series, hones in on a small core cast of Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet, and Bulkhead. Meanwhile, players will interact with Jack, Miko, and Raf, the human kids who serve as spunky sidekicks to the robots in disguise.
The Wii and 3DS versions are being developed by Now Production, the Japanese outsourcing company behind Bakugan Battle Brawlers. DS duties will be handled by Altron Corporation, which has made several titles for the DS based on Disney cartoons and movies.
