Prototype 2 pre-order bonuses announced
Activision has outlined the pre-order bonuses for Prototype 2, which differ for Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop.
Prototype 2 is preparing for its dark and brooding launch, and publisher Activision has outlined the various pre-order bonuses you can expect from retailers. All pre-orders will get a set of extra challenges, but you'll have to pick a shop for the content bonuses to stack on top of those.
No matter where you order, you'll get the RadNet edition of the game, which includes extra in-game events, challenges, avatar items, dynamic themes, behind-the-scenes videos, bonus mutations, and an Alex Mercer skin. These bonuses will be delivered "for seven weeks following the game's launch," indicating a steady drip of content to keep you from reselling your game.
Amazon pre-orders will get a code to download the Prototype comic, The Anchor, from Dark Horse comics. Best Buy will get the Hardened Steel Vehicle Armor upgrade, a poster, and a steelbook case. GameStop, meanwhile, gets the "Bio-Bomb Butt Kicker" ability. Go ahead, get the giggles out. We know you wanted to laugh when you heard "bomb butt."
Prototype 2 is due on April 24 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and on July 24 for PC.
