Phantasy Star Online 2 coming to Vita
Sega announced today that Phantasy Star Online 2 will be available on the PlayStation Vita, and you can play across the same server and with the same characters across both platforms.
In addition to PC, Phantasy Star Online 2 will be available on the PlayStation Vita. Sega producer Sakai Satoshi announced the news today, saying he wanted to release the game on a home platform.
Phantasy Star Online fans might want to grab both versions, because they'll both use the same servers, and you'll be able to play the same character across both versions. That means you never technically have to leave the world, which for some MMO players is finally the realization of a long, strange dream.
A video of the Vita version is below, and you may notice the footage looks a little less-than-stellar. Andriasang reports that the Vita version is only 10% finished, so it lacks shaders and is generally unoptimized. Satoshi says that once it is complete, it will approach the higher end of the PC's graphical ability.

Having not played either game, I have no idea how the play styles are for an mmo. It seems semi-casual, but it'd be wonderful to start seeing modern mmo's (and older ones) get ported to the vita.
I don't play wow anymore, but having that or swtor or guild wars (or even eq1...) on a handheld would be really cool.
Hell, if wow was on the vita, it's sales would dramatically Increase.
