Diablo 3 'targeting' Q2 launch
At an investor's call, Blizzard announced that it is "targeting" a Q2 launch for the long-awaited RPG.
Blizzard certainly likes taking their time making games. Diablo III was announced about four years ago, and has yet to receive a release date. Ever since the beta went live, Blizzard revealed massive changes that had many fans concerned--will Diablo 3 be pushed back even further?
It appears concerns may have been unwarranted. At an investor's call, Blizzard announced that it is "targeting" a Q2 launch for the long-awaited RPG.
A calendar Q2 release would mean the title would ship between April and June. Blizzard notes that "beta testing and auction house testing" have both been "going well." In addition, Blizzard promises the launch of "multiple titles" in 2012.

I can't see them releasing by June with all the massive changes they just did to the beta. That seems like too big of a swing to have everything nailed down in the next 4 months. They can say "targeting" all they want for the investor calls. We know it ain't going to happen. Q3, maybe. Nov is way more likely. Unless they really are going to launch more than one title this year. Then I could see Activision wanting something launched by summer.
