No, this isn't a teenage dream. Electronic Arts has announced a new partnership with Katy Perry that will result in "multiple games" within The Sims franchise adding Katy Perry-themed content and virtual goods.
The first Katy Perry-themed Sims offering will be in the collector's edition of the upcoming Showtime expansion for The Sims 3. Available in March, the collector's edition will offer a poster and a number of virual Katy Perry-themed items, including clothing, guitar, hair, and stage props.
This is just the first the beginning of a Katy Perry onslaught. She will also star in new advertising and marketing campaigns for The Sims franchise.
"It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams Tour," the pop star said in a press release. "Even my cotton candy video screens are in there! I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!"
