Call of Duty Elite available on iOS tomorrow, Android next week
The mobile version of Call of Duty Elite, originally supposed to launch alongside Elite, will be available starting tomorrow.
Over a million people are subscribers to Activision's Call of Duty Elite service. While the service has offered little new as of late, that's about to change tomorrow, with the introduction of Elite's official iOS app.
The mobile version of Elite was originally supposed to launch alongside Elite, but service disruptions led to the delay. The app will allow you to see your career stats, view your performance in recent matches, edit your loadouts, and browse current challenges.
The app won't let you to partake in Elite's more interesting offerings, however. For example, you won't be able to watch any of the Elite-exclusive videos, including Friday Night Fights.
"We've always viewed mobile as a big part of the mission of Call of Duty Elite," Beachhead Studios' Chacko Sonny told VentureBeat. "You can have your Call of Duty Experience be with you no matter where you are."
The iOS version will be available tomorrow, and an Android version will be available next week. A PC version is still MIA, in spite of Activision's promises.
