QUBE goes live on Steam today
QUBE, the first-person puzzle game and first entry from the Indie Fund, is hitting Steam today.
QUBE, a first-person puzzle game originally slated for mid-December, is hitting Steam today. Developer Toxic Games announced that it will hit the service at 10 am PST, so by the time you're reading this, it may be up already.
The tweet came just a few hours ago, not leaving much time between announcement and release. The game was previously due December 16, but missed the target on Steam. As previously reported, it will cost $14.99.
QUBE also carries the honor of being the first game from the Indie Fund, a pool of funding money created by successful indie developers. You can check out the trailer below.

I'd rather see a young team get their feet wet in the market with strong technical presentation and gameplay, and flake out on story, and then come back around with a second project that's more story-driven (ideally after they've gotten more investiment funding to grow).
If you can integrate it well out of the gate (Limbo, Bastion) you're golden, but I don't think it should be a high priority if you're trying to get known like this team seems to be.
