Following on a few years after Risen, Dark Waters sees humanity harried by naughty sea monsters. One might say they're simply hungry and this is instinct, so who are we to judge, but it seems pirates know a thing about keeping them away. Say, why don't you, dear player, find out what's going on?

Combat's tarted up a little since the original, toting firearms, "dirty tricks," and exploitable weak spots--such as kicking giant enemy grabs onto their backs.

The PC edition is using Steamworks for DRM, as Deep Silver likes the cut of its gib.

Here's a recent 'making of' trailer to explain a little more about Risen 2:

I really enjoyed the first one. However, after Skyrim, I dunno... I feel like a new bar's been set. Hope they bring their "A" game.

Exactly, I really hope Skyrim has kicked a lot of RPG makers in the nutz and will in term make them juice up their quality which will give us cooler RPGs.

Win win , hope it happens, everything I have read R2 will be pretty rad, how open and Skyrimee that we will have to see.

Gothic 2 was doing a lot of things in 2001 Skyrim's just now doing in 2011.

So not really. PB's stuff has always played different, and that's just perfect.
