Asura's Wrath may not be as well-known as the heavy-hitting AAA blockbusters landing this holiday season, but that doesn't mean Capcom can't taunt gamers with a variety of retailer-specific pre-order bonuses. The rage-filled brawler from CyberConnect 2 will offer game modifiers and bonuses to gamers that secure a purchase early.

Best Buy will offer the "Infinity Pack" which features two game modifiers: Extinguisher Mode for faster cooling after overheating, and Zealot Mode for "extended unlimited function." Yes, you can extend the amount of "unlimited" have. (Perhaps someone should give the developers at CyberConnect 2 a dictionary?)

Amazon.com will offer the "Devastator Pack" which features two different game modifiers: Guardian Mode for reduced damage, and Iconoclast Mode to fill your unlimited gauge faster.

GameStop has arguably the best pre-order bonus of them all: a non-digital physical item you can hold in your hands. You'll get an exclusive comic from Penny Arcade, featuring a "hilarious 'what if' look at the over-the-top character of Asura," and an official art book (pictured above). Hopefully, the book will give some insight into how the developers made a giant Hindu deity crushing the earth with his finger a reality.

Asura's Wrath will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 21.
